First message and approval

Step 3 of the path: give the agent a task, see the card in Approvals, approve the message and read the run transcript.

Step 3 of 3. Takes one to two minutes. At the end you have a message sent by the agent, your decision in Approvals and the transcript of the first run.

What you do

Roles of class r2 write to people only after approval. You give the agent a task on a scenario, it prepares a message, the message enters the approval queue, you decide. Every outbound message works this way, not only the first one.

Steps

  1. Give the agent work in one of three ways:
    • A task. In Tasks create a task and assign it to the agent; the assignment wakes it.
    • A mention. In a Chat room write @agent-name and what to do; a mention wakes only the mentioned agent.
    • A scenario. In Workforce start a task on one of the team’s scenarios with input data, for example a contact for the first outreach message.
  2. Follow the task: along the way the agent writes checkpoints, what is done and what is next.
  3. When the agent has prepared an outbound message, open Approvals. The card shows whom, what, which scenario and which data. Approve, and the message goes out through the channel; reject with a reason, and the agent receives it and continues along the scenario. You can approve from your phone too.
  4. Open the task and read the run transcript: what the agent was started with, what it asked the model, what the model answered and what was sent. Keys and tokens are masked.

What you have

  • A message sent to the customer from the channel on your machine.
  • Your decision in Approvals, with time and author.
  • Checkpoints and a transcript on the task; the model spend for this task is visible on the agent.

If something is off

  • No card appeared: the agent’s role is r0 or r1 and never writes outside; give the task to an r2 role.
  • Message rejected and the agent is silent: it is waiting for the next scenario step; look at the task checkpoints.
  • Spend higher than expected: set or lower the agent’s monthly budget; at 100 % it pauses.
